Reasons and Quotes To Prove Why Mothers Are The Best
1:52 PM1. She Uses The Latest Slang Incorrectly (but it's cute)
When Beyonce decided she "woke up like dis", I decided I was ***flawless as well. Picking up on this, my mother annoying emailed, texted, and said "***flawless" to me every time I saw her. I guess I learned how annoying being ***flawless actually was.
2. She's Always There
The countless times she has been there for me is ridiculous yet very well appreciated. When I begged her to take me to NYC for auditions literally every weekend, she did. When I'm stressed out because of school, she's there. When I was little and my tooth was ready to fall out but my gums started to grow back around the tooth (yuck, probably ONLY has happened to me) guess who was there using floss to saw it (TMI).
3. She Gives Cards For Every Occasion
No valentine because I'm single for life? My mother always surprised me with my favorite chocolates, Bath & Body Works, or at least a card on Valentine's Day. When I found out I had gotten into my dream school she rushed to get a congratulations card. She's the one who always cares.
4. You Act and Look Just Like Her
Have you ever had someone you don't know come up to you at a family event and say "you look/act just like your mother". I hear it more and more often as I get older. I cut my hair once and all I ever heard was "you're a mini her". I take these as compliments, as my mother is ***Flawless.
6. They Know Everything
Admit it, they know everything! My mother knew what friends would stay around and which wouldn't. She always knew something was upsetting me even when I tried my best to hide it (even though sometimes she thought the worst of the worst even when I was only sad over something insignificant). They know.
5. She Teaches You
Whether indirectly or directly you have been paying attention to her since you were small. Taking in the way she does her hair, her scent, her grace, and poise. Her gardening skills, cooking skills, car skills, sports skills; whichever mom you have, she's taught you a lot out of love.
Quotes
"Our mothers give us so many gifts. They give us the precious gift of life, of course, but they also leave treasured lessons that can guide us along our journeys even when they are no longer with us."
“I realized when you look at your mother, you are looking at the purest love you will ever know.”
Happy Mother's Day to every mother. We love you!
