5 Free Apps to Swear By
3:30 PM5 Free Apps to Swear By (and why you should definitely start downloading NOW)
1. Google Play Music
This app is like Pandora but way better! It's perfect for categorizing music by activities. When I'm working out...GOOGLE PLAY MUSIC. When it's late Saturday night and I need the perfect "getting ready" playlist...GOOGLE PLAY MUSIC. When I'm taking a bubble bath...You get the point.
Pros: I'm using it...right...at...this...moment. Also, it allows me to play the perfect Classic Christmas playlist in October. *big smile*
Cons: Limited number of skips like Pandora.
General Note: This app used to be Songza until Google purchased it. Nothing has drastically changed about the app and I have been using it as Songza and now Google Play since 2012.

2. Duolingo

C'mon, who doesn't want to learn a language at the convenience of one click on your iPhone. Duolingo separates learning into categories (I'm starting to see a pattern in my favorite apps).
Pros: I'm teaching myself French and it's been a winner in my eyes so far.
Cons: The layout/overall look is very juvenile in appearance and there are only five language options. (No, you can't learn Chinese with Duolingo, sorry)
3. Snapchat
Photo:
Snapchat is essentially an app showcasing people living in the moment.
Pros: Allows you to follow celebrities, is in real-time, live stories from around the world, and has geofilters and regular filters. You can also send and receive money through Snapchat though, I prefer Venmo or the Cash App.
Cons: Juvenile appearance.
4. Google Drive

The Google Drive app is an essential! Whether using this for business or for school, you need this.
Pros: Upload documents and images to access them from anywhere. If you need to share something quickly while not being able to access a laptop or desktop then this app is your best friend. Also, perfect for sharing files with others. #Adulting. Of course, it's also a smart idea to download Google Docs and Google Sheets.
Cons: Absolutely can't think of anything.
5. Nike Training Club

I've become such a fitness/health freak lately that I had to find the perfect fitness app for motivation. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced I think it'll help you get leaned, toned, strong, and focused! I use it to boss me around.
Pros: It's Nike!
Cons: Takes up a lot of memory, hence why its still "waiting" on my iPhone home screen for me to download it. (I had this app before).
